The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride unites classic and vintage styled motorcycle riders from all over the world to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic motorcycle and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men in our lives.
In 2022 Ben and Jess learned about DGR and loved how the styling and theme of the ride fit the bikes they were building so well. When we learned about the reasoning behind the ride we were not just thrilled, but emotionally connected. The first year we rode just the two of us in Milwaukee and had a great time and met some great people. Our second ride was also in MKE and this time with a team, which made it even greater!
In 2024 Jess came up with the idea that we needed to host this ride in our town with our community on the beautiful Lake Country roads. It was a fantastic day and when we were done with the ride we celebrated with live music, cigars and beverages back at Never Ending Cycles.
May 18, 2025 we have the privilege of hosting yet again and we couldn't be more honored! We will meet at NEC at 12 for coffee and mingling. We'll ride out at 1 and then return to the shop for food and live music once again. This year we have a fantastic band called Sharin' Barrels. The band shares a mutual friend with Ben named Toby who tragically passed away in 2020. We know that mental health played a part in this loss so we are honored to share this band with you on May 18th.
We also have some great barbeque lined up for you from B.I.L.s BBQ. Gene happens to be one of our very valued employees and he and his brother in law make the most delicious smoked meats around! Lastly we'll have craft beer from our friends and neighbors BrewFinity Brewing.
